Whimsy House on a Hill – Hand-Built Clay Sculpture Workshop
“Craft your own clay village — one little hilltop home at a time.”
As part of our popular Clay Village Series, you’ll create your very own whimsical house on a hill—a charming hand-built sculpture full of personality and story.
You’ll work with two beautiful types of clay—white earthenware and toasty terracotta—and learn to shape and assemble your piece using simple hand-building techniques. Then, bring it to life with thoughtful decoration using slip, underglazes, and sgraffito, adding delightful little details like steps, trees, fences, or your own chosen words.
Once finished, your sculpture will stay in the studio to dry naturally, before being kiln-fired and sealed with a protective acrylic finish. Your completed artwork will be ready to collect in 3–4 weeks—something truly unique to treasure or gift.
A perfect workshop for adults seeking mindfulness, creativity, and a little clay magic.
