Handmade Pottery Decorations Creative Workshop

About Handmade Pottery Decorations Creative Workshop

Join us at Gateside Memorial Hall for a morning of creative bliss as we prepare for the upcoming festive season and create our own handmade pottery decorations, with artist and workshop tutor Deborah Cameron.

During this workshop you will have a choice of some lovely white earthenware and rich terracotta clays to use along with cutters, stencils, stamps, slips and underglazes to create your set of own unique handmade decorations - perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree, decorating your home, or gifting as a special handmade present.

These will be stored in our kiln room until they are ready for firing and then fired in our kiln and sealed with an acrylic sealer before being returned to you approx 4 weeks later - in plenty of time for having them ready to gift or add to your Christmas tree!
(please note these are not glazed and are suitable for indoors and outdoors)

Suitable for beginners - no experience required - just bring yourself and a readiness to have a great morning getting creative with clay!

All materials, light refreshments and tuition included

This workshop is suitable for individuals aged 14 above. Participants 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This is the third of 4 monthly creative workshops for Autumn/Winter in this location.
A new workshop will be offered each month:

August - Wet Felting, Sept - Twinkling Autumn Wreaths, Oct - Handmade Pottery Decorations, Nov - Festive Needle Felting (with festive wreath)

See our 'Community Workshops' booking page for more information about each workshop.
