Making Pottery Glazes
This workshop at Forgan Arts Centre on 8th February is for pottery students with a basic understanding of pottery glazes and interest in ceramics.
About Making Pottery Glazes
The workshop introduces participants to the basics of making and applying glazes. Participants will be able to mix their own glazes from scratch and test them on pre-made bisque-ware and test tiles.
The workshop will include the principles of making coloured glazes, and how to apply them, including pouring, dipping and brushing techniques. Participants will also learn how to prepare paper resists and will be encouraged to experiment with a variety of glazing techniques.
