Heroines of the Special Operations Executive

About Heroines of the Special Operations Executive

Roy Johnstone a retired solicitor with a huge interest in history returns to Markinch on the 4th April. The Special Operations Executive were formed in 1940 with the purpose of carrying out reconnaissance, espionage and sabotage in occupied Europe.

Many of the agents were young women and this is their story and also the price many paid. Sure to be an evocative and powerful lecture.

As always our events feature teas, coffees and themed home baking. There is also our famous raffle where the prices touch each end of the sublime to ridiculous spectrum.

All very welcome.
