Music, dance, laughs and the age-old tale of boy meets girl… Anything Goes is delightful, delicious and de-lovely. Based on a new book by Timothy Crouse & John Weidman and originally written by Guy Bolton, P. G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, the show features the wonderful music & lyrics of Cole Porter.
Anything Goes is set amid the madcap antics aboard the SS American, an ocean liner sailing from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who in turn is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy Number 13, “Moonface” Martin, aid Billy in his quest to win Hope.
Apart from the titular number, “Anything Goes”, the show also features the
musical hits “You’re the Top”, “Friendship”, “All Through the Night”, and “I Get a Kick Out of You”.
Tickets cost £16 for adults – concessions are available at £14 for the Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday matinee performances only.
