Venue:
Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. They deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people – building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet.
Greener Kirkcaldy’s community building is located in Kirkcaldy town centre, just a few minutes walk from the shops and rail station. The full address is 8 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT.
What do I need to bring and what is included
Please bring a yoga mat, water, blanket, pillow, scarf or tie, journal, pencil or pen, any other props appropriate for you, and lunch. If you have a drum, egg shaker, or any other small instrument please feel free to bring that too for the kirtan at the end. Let's make some noise!
The body cools down when holding poses for a longer period of time, please make sure to wear enough layers to stay warm.
Yoga, expert guidance, fruit, herbal teas, and water are included. Lunch is not included. Yoga is ideally practised on a (fairly) empty stomach, we are encouraging you to eat only light snacks such as fruit or a nutbar before the retreat. You can bring your own or venture into Kirkcaldy as there will be a longer lunchbreak and the location is very close to the center of town.
We have a limited amount of blocks, straps, and bolsters available on the day. If you need props and do not have your own, please contact us to arrange. This is offered at a first come, first serve basis and is included.
This Yoga Day Retreat is £65. 50% is non-refundable and refunds are only considered up to 10 days before the retreat. If you prefer payment through bank transfer (saves processing cost), please contact us. We aim to be as flexible as possible.
