About Arts Lecture - Winston Churchill: An Inspirational Life in Photographs, Words & Paintings by Mark Cottle

Churchill's life was captured in photographs and he was a prolific writer and speechmaker. He was a successful and enthusiastic artist, producing some 500 paintings. The aim of this lecture is to capture the richness and diversity of this great man's life and character.

Mark Cottle was born on the Isles of Scilly and educated at Truro School, Cornwall and Birmingham University. His career has been spent in education and training both at home and abroad. He has lectured at Exeter College on medieval and Tudor History, St Mark's and St John's University College, Plymouth and at Bath University on Anglo Saxon and medieval England. Mark current runs two small companies providing training and study breaks.

COSTS:
Our membership fee for our 2023/24 lecture series is £55 for a single membership and £100 for joint membership.

Other events are optional extras.

All are welcome.

Visitors to a lecture are invited to leave a suggested donation of £8.

Complimentary teas and coffees are served after lectures.
