“Kings Of Blues & Soul” features two great Scottish bands, Main Street Blues & Lights Out by Nine for this thrilling Double Bill event.
Main Street Blues are rooted in up-tempo electric blues, combining strong R&B & funk influences together with Hammond Keys, Horns & Harmonies. The band have revisited their sell out theatre show “Kings Of The Blues” to develop their successful fringe show which performs their tribute to three great blues legends, celebrating the music of Freddy King, BB King & Albert King.
Lights Out By Nine’s origins are firmly rooted in soul music, mixed with a powerhouse R&B and New Orleans funk. Their latest album “Here and Now” features a crop of original soul plus R&B songs delivered in the band’s trademark style with Hammond organ, Horns & Harmonies very much to the fore.
The band have shared stages with Status Quo, Paul Carrack, Nazareth, The Zombies, Buddy Guy and Average White Band & have had guest vocalists over the years, included Hamish Stuart, Dan McCafferty, Ray Wilson, Jim Diamond, Rab Noakes & Tam White.
