29A LOW ROAD
Auchtermuchty KY14 7BB
Alan Lafferty
The garden is secluded and is situated behind the adjacent properties on the main road. While only about a third of an acre in size it is laid out with a spacious lawn and has several secluded areas to sit, enjoy the peace and listen to the birdsong. The drive is bordered by roses and herbaceous plants with delphiniums being particularly attractive in summer. The main feature is a large pond stocked with golden orfe and water lilies. In spring azaleas and rhododendrons provide an attractive display while a selection of conifers of various shapes and colours provides a colourful backdrop all year round. In the main season interest is provided by mature trees and shrubs along with mixed beds, hostas, alpines and a display of dahlias to give colour into the early autumn.
Directions: On the main A91 through Auchtermuchty near the west end of the village. There is a public playing field nearby with ample parking. Disabled parking for two or three cars beside the house. Buses - Stagecoach 36 and 94A or Moffat and Williamson 66, 66A or 64
