Inspired by Queen Margaret’s crossing, this fully supported event combines endurance, history, and breathtaking Fife scenery.
Runners will pass through Dunfermline, Lochore, Markinch, and Ceres, with waymarked trails, digital route maps, stocked aid stations (hot food at selected stations), first aiders, photographers, and drop bag checkpoints. Every finisher receives a medal and t-shirt, with a shuttle service back to the start operating through the evening.
Open to runners aged 20+ who’ve completed at least one marathon-distance event in the last two years. There’s an 18-hour limit, with cut-offs at Markinch and Ceres. Walk breaks are welcome, but no walking entries.
A remarkable test of stamina and spirit — and a race through centuries of Scottish heritage.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
