Join us for some stories and tales from the sea!
Join Finnish-born storyteller Riikka Palonen, who will bring us watery stories from the seven seas of the world – and from the 65,000 lakes of Finland! Riikka has always loved the sounds and scents of water, so much so that when she had her first job as a teenage girl, she saved up, bought herself a wooden rowboat and spent many happy days out on the lake.
This event coincides with an exhibition of Riikka’s paintings in the museum’s café gallery, so why not take a moment to take some refreshment in the café and see her work. Even in her artwork, the spirit of the storyteller shines through, and every one of her creations has its own story to tell. You can find Riikka’s story profile on https://tracscotland.org/storytellers/rikka-palonen/
Free Storytelling Event. Recommended for children aged 10 years and above.
Donations Welcome
