Meet at the classroom in the public greenhouses for an introduction. We will then walk round to the orchard to plant bulbs and wildflower seeds to add colour and food for beneficial pollinators in the long grass. We hope to build a bug hotel the same day to provide shelter and a home for insects and small animals. We will return to the classroom for refreshments and an opportunity to plant up some bulbs in a pot to take home.
The park is approx. 10 minutes walk from the bus station. There is a free car park. there are public toilets in the park and cafe.
There will be walking on sloping paths and rough grass involved. There is level access to the classroom.
Please wear suitable footwear and bring gardening gloves if possible. Tools will be provided.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
