PLANT’s annual Fruit and Food Fest!
The event will include seeing how our famous Tayport Apple Juice is produced, from the whole apples to the final sealed pouches. We will process apples throughout the day.
It will be a day of events devoted to harvesting and food and there will be stalls with local produce, jams etc. There will be a chance to sample home baking (around the theme of apples – naturally!).
In the afternoon, there will be a cookery competition, featuring ‘amateur’ and ‘professional’ chefs. We will be giving out fruit trees for the ‘Fruit Tree in Every Garden in Fife’, come by to collect trees between 10.30 and 12.30!
There is no need to book – just turn up on the day. You can see the apple juicing process at any point – and lend a hand as well. The cookery events will be after 1.00 PM. Watch our Facebook page for detailed timings nearer the event.
Location: The Dolphin Centre, 4 Gladstone Square, Tayport DD6 9EW
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
