Have you always wanted to play a guitar, have a go on a trumpet, or did you once play a violin and would like to try again. Come along to find out about OnFife’s Musical Instrument Library based at Jennie Lee Library at Lochgelly Centre. As part of We Make Music Scotland, Jennie Lee Library is one of over 25 libraries in Scotland where young and old are encouraged to borrow an instrument like you can borrow a book. They are a great example how climate action goes in hand with social equality.
In Fife we have Lochgelly Instrument Library, which opened in April this year at Lochgelly Centre. It offers a great opportunity for anyone from Fife to come and borrow any available instrument to have a little try in playing it.
This fantastic hands-on-music-project is now coming to this year’s Fife Climate Festival Wee Day Oot, where Music Instrument Library will offer hands-on experience of playing a string instrument (violin or guitar).
Location: Outdoor Education Centre/ Lochore Meadows Country Park
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
