Fife's very own literary festival, Conversations on the Coast, brings beloved and award-winning authors to the seaside town of Elie and Earlsferry. The festival's first event of 2025 takes place in September, where journalist and author Jen Stout recounts her experiences reporting on the war in Ukraine for outlets such as BBC Radio and the Sunday Post.
Over the last three years of Russia's war against Ukraine, Jen Stout brought the war home to readers in Scotland with her vivid first-hand reporting from the night trains and bunkers, the frontlines, and the cities under siege - all now detailed in her award-winning book Night Train to Odesa. Join Jen as she invites you to witness the human cost of Russia's war in this unforgettable journey.
Entry to the event includes a free dram of whisky, Edinburgh Gin or soft drink. Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
