Growing Together: Networking event at MCCI

About Growing Together: Networking event at MCCI

What is the event about and what will I learn?

Join us for our first networking event since the Gathering and the third year of Fife Climate Hub! This event will be hosted by Methilhill Community Children’s Initiative (MCCI) and will be an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and groups working towards sustainable, community-driven change.

MCCI will kick off the day by sharing their story—celebrating successes, lessons learned, and the impact of their work within the community.

The event will then transition to focused table discussions, offering a platform to exchange ideas, challenges, and best practices on:

Working with Young People: Engaging youth in climate and community initiatives.
Community Kitchens – ‘Seed to Plate’: Building sustainable food systems and fostering community through shared meals.
Funding Community Gardens: Exploring creative ways to sustain and grow green spaces.
Whether you’re a seasoned community organiser or new to local action, this event is a chance to learn, share, and inspire collective progress.

Where is the event taking place
The event will take place at the Methilhill Children’s Community Initiative (MCCI). The MCCI features well-maintained outdoor spaces, including lush gardens perfect for hands-on activities like planting and harvesting. Its cozy, child-friendly environment includes areas for play and learning, creating a vibrant setting for intergenerational gatherings.

The venue also provides access to communal spaces, such as an outdoor kitchen and seating areas, ideal for cooking demonstrations and group discussions. With a strong focus on sustainability and community involvement, MCCI embodies a spirit of togetherness and creativity, making it an ideal location for events that celebrate learning, collaboration, and growth.
