The choir has about 50 voices singing in four part harmony (1st Tenor, 2nd Tenor, Bariton and Bass)
The East Fife Male Voice Choir has a wide-ranging repertoire of music from classical and opera through religious music and traditional Scottish songs to folk music as well as songs from the musicals. Something to suit all tastes!
They specialise in giving concerts of around two hours duration to audiences at home and abroad. The choir has been to Germany and Italy and has performed at venues in England and Wales.
The East Fife Male Voice Choir was formed in 1957 in the Wemyss area of Fife, with a backing of the coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation. It was a great outlet for the Miners and others who joined, being able to sing and socialise with like-minded men as and still is today a great pastime.
In 2007/08 the choir celebrated its 50th Anniversary and was honoured with a Civic Reception in the Town House, Kirkcaldy.
The choir is led by Musical Director Marilyn Boulton and accompanied by Callum MacLeod.
