It's December and we're starting to feel fairly festive down at the "Fisheries" (as the locals call it)!
We are delighted with our beautiful Christmas Tree this year so hope you will pop in and see us (and it!) before we close at 4.30pm on the 21st for our winter break (reopening 11th Jan), we have nice nautical gifts, local interest and maritime books, hand-made gifts by local makers in our shop and framed prints by photographers Emily Noakes and Caroline MacDonald on display and for sale in our community art gallery "The Merchant's Room"
Our museum mascot, Kipper the Cat, is in the mood for party games and has been playing Hide and Seek throughout the galleries - can you help us find him? This fun trail is free with general museum admission and runs until Saturday 21st.
Join Kipper on Sunday 8th between 2pm and 3.15pm for a wintry tale or two and seasonal crafts and again on Monday between 3.15pm and 4.30pm for 'After School Club' and make your own Christmas cards, decorations or wrapping paper while sipping on a hot chocolate!
All welcome, booking not essential but helpful to know if you're coming and children under 10 should be accompanied.
Free but donations towards refreshments and materials appreciated.
Contact Jen on 01333 310628 or jen@scotfishmuseum.org for more info.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
