Flooding is becoming a frequent occurrence in many parts of the kingdom. Many people have been forced to accept this as a hazard of where they live; managing the adverse effects and damages as they come. The increasing number of weather warnings brings great anxiety to those living in these areas. Communities are often unaware of how they can take action.
This event aims to engage and empower the people in these communities, arming them with knowledge of how to react and even prevent flooding in their areas.
FCCAN and Sniffer are bringing in experts from several government and non-profit organisations to showcase how they can help and share/ signpost to further resources. They will also answer your questions in a panel discussion.
Facilitators include:
Rain Garden experts
Fife Climate Hub
Climate Ready South East Scotland
Scottish Flood Forum
Fife Council (Climate Change and Zero Waste Team)
and more!
This is also an opportunity for these organisations to hear from you, raise your concerns and for them to map where flooding is taking place.
