Have fun creating a Christmas wreath and decorations for the tree out of old biscuit tins. Go traditional with ivy and holly leaves, red berries and bow, or opt for a more contemporary look with colourful flowers and wacky leaves which can be enjoyed all year round.
We’ll also be making tin angels, robins, reindeer and other decorations which can decorate your wreath or hang on your Christmas tree.
Plenty of examples will be on hand for inspiration along with templates you can use but do bring along any designs of your own. All materials and tools will be supplied. No experience required.
Suitable for 18+.
Philippa Johnston is a wirework artist based in North East Fife who ‘draws’ with wire, creating pieces that sit somewhere between 2D and 3D. For one body of work, she created a 100-strong wire menagerie inspired by sketches done on location. Her work reflects her love of animals and birds and her fascination with folk and children’s art. She also works sculpturally with recycled tin and paper.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
