In this half day workshop you will learn the hand building 'pinch pot' technique to create two bowl shapes. We will then work to combine your two pinch pots together to create an orb which will be fashioned into a being - the character of which can be up to your imagination!
Using stamps and found natural materials such as foliage, you can make beings as festive or seasonal as you like, giving them their own character through surface textures and inclusions.
This class is for adults, however, we have created a small number of parent + child tickets. The parent + child ticket allows an adult to bring one child aged 6+ with them, to work together on a shared orb project.
Pots will be left to dry and fired.
Work will be ready to collect approx. 3 weeks after the workshop.
The cost of the workshop includes materials and the additional tutor time to glaze and twice/ fire pots after the workshop.
This workshop will be taught by Sarah Rychtarova.
Sarah graduated in Fine Art at DJCAD in 2014. She continues to be a multidisciplinary visual artist using clay as a central focus in her practice.
Sarah has taught regular classes, workshops and 1-1’s in ceramics across Scotland and has recently returned to Dundee to teach locally.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
