At just 30 years old, he has already released two volumes of his own compilation, "With Love" on Brighton-based Mr Bongo Records, been lead programmer for London audiophile venue, Spiritland and co-founded reissue 7”s labels Celestial Echo, PANORAMA and Discs of Fun & Love. Holding down a show on Worldwide FM in 2022, he DJs regularly across the UK and Europe, specialising in long and expansive sets that showcase his passion for modern soul, private press disco, Brazilian MPB rarities, jazz dance and deep house. Released in September 2022, volume one of “With Love” was named compilation of the week by Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music, and received further BBC radio support from Jamie Cullum, Craig Charles and Cerys Matthews, as well as a host of iconic DJs including Jeremy Underground and Antal. Volume 2 was released in October 2023 to even more support from DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Huey Morgan and more. This lead to him recording his first Block Party mix for Huey on BBC Radio 6 in December of 2023.
2024 looks exciting for him already, after teaming up with good friend and mentor Rainer Trüby of the Trüby Trio at 2023's We Out Here they return to the festival to host a stage with good friends Jeremy Underground and Danilo Plessow (MCDE) for the night.
Connecting artists past, present and future, miche spent the previous 3-and-a-half years as lead programmer for London’s Spiritland venues in Kings Cross and the Royal Festival Hall. Aside from his work for Mr Bongo, miche also runs Celestial Echo and PANORAMA, two labels primarily reissuing 7”s that chime with the spirit of his eclectic tastes. He also works with the esteemed London-based label BBE, and music distributor Prime Direct. A DJ and selector who is as comfortable curating line-ups as headlining them, miche is set to be a fixture on the festival circuit in 2024 and beyond.
