About the event:
Hi, my name is Leeann,
I am a certified Menopause Wellness Champion working in partnership with Menopause Experts Group (MEG UK), I bring extensive knowledge, learning and experience in all things menopause!
I have a background in Health and Community Education complemented by years of hands-on work experience, in supporting people, families, and groups in handling, often sensitive, and challenging issues in their lives.
I feel passionate about ensuring women are equipped with the right knowledge and support to assist them in dealing with, and planning for their future health, hence the reason for Thinking Menopause and this Menopause Wellness Event .
We need to educate to advocate for ourselves!
I wished I knew more... after years of thinking this was just something I had to ‘put up’ with, having the most horrible, sometimes unbearable symptoms going on for many, many years, often not even recognising that many of my issues were being caused by my ever-depleting hormones.
At Thinking Menopause we are keen to increase knowledge and awareness on ways to manage for better health, regardless of where you are on your journey. I want to help you navigate mid-life with more confidence and understanding.
At Thinking Menopause, we have access to up-to-date- research from leading professionals in the field of Women’s Health through our partnerships with MEG and are happy to share this with you. We hope to dispel worries & myths surrounding this challenging time by giving accurate information to assist in easing some of the myriad of symptoms, some of which can be debilitating.
Did you know that women can experience symptoms starting as early as mid-30s, onwards. (Scary eh!?).
Symptoms like; headaches, forgetfulness, joint aches & pains, weight gain, bladder issues, and not to mention the ever-changing mood shifts and anxiety. Improving your knowledge goes a long way to improving your health. We talk about natural ways to ease symptoms, look at supplements and explain a bit about HRT. We want to ensure you think about, become more informed and prepared for your ongoing journey through mid-life.
Change in any form can be difficult and emotional, but we’re here to tell you, that you are not alone...
We completely understand and absolutely get it!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
