About A Night at the Opera

Arias, duos, trios and quartets by Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Mozart and many more with maybe a smidgen of Gilbert and Sullivan!

For the opera-lover and opera-newbie alike, there will be something for everyone with each piece introduced and explained with humour and panache.

Presented by Classical Musicians Scotland and supported by an 11-piece orchestra.

Soprano: Emily Mitchell (of the Dunedin Consort)
Mezzo soprano: Sarah Shorter (of The All Sorts and Opera Alba)
Tenor: Christian Schneeberger (of Scozzesi and Opera Alba)
Baritone: Douglas Nairne (of Scozzesi and Opera Bohemia)

Musical Director: Derek Clark (of Opera Alba, Celebrating Irving Berlin, and formerly Head of Music at Scottish Opera 1997 - 2023) with the Classical Musicians Scotland orchestra

Producer and presenter: Daisy Henderson

All singers perform regularly with Scottish Opera, but this is not a Scottish Opera production.
