Dunedin Consort are joined by rising star Alexander Chance to give a taste of the musical talents that flocked to Vienna and its wealth of opportunities in the first half of the 18th Century. Zelenka’s inventive harmony, Tůma’s gallant simplicity and Vivaldi’s compelling combination of directness and beauty demand virtuosity from all on stage in a concert that blends music for the court and the church.
