Crail Community Hall has secured two great Comedians to bring top comedy to Crail.
Each will perform a set of 40 minutes with a break between them to allow the audience to recover from the non-stop hilarity.
PHIL DIFFER:
In a career spanning over thirty five years, Phil has been behind many of Scotland’s most popular and best loved comedy shows, and has worked with the cream of Scottish comedy talent including Rikki Fulton, Gregor Fisher, Elaine C. Smith, Craig Ferguson, and Robbie Coltraine - lifting some awards in the process as well as accumulating more than a few showbiz tales along the way.
Phil began his comedy career as a writer providing gags and sketches for such shows as Not the Nine O’Clock News and Spitting Image before becoming a Senior Producer in BBC Scotland’s Comedy Unit, the department responsible for, among others, Naked Video, Rab C. Nesbitt, Scotch and Wry, City Lights and, the show Phil is best known for, Only An Excuse? After leaving the BBC to form an independent production company, Phil and The Comedy Unit went on to chalk up even more success with Chewin’ the Fat, Still Game, Offside and Watson’s Wind Up.
As well as continuing to write, produce and direct for television, radio and theatre, Phil is a regular on Scotland’s thriving stand-up comedy circuit as well as a popular speaker at Sportsman’s dinners and Burns Suppers.
