A riveting piece of documentary theatre, SEVEN tells the true stories of seven women who bravely fought for the well-being and human rights of women, families, and children around the globe.
About SEVEN: A Human Rights Drama
A riveting piece of documentary theatre, SEVEN tells the true stories of seven women who bravely fought for the well-being and human rights of women, families, and children around the globe: in Russia, protecting women from domestic violence; in Cambodia, rescuing girls from human trafficking; in Guatemala, giving voice to the poor; in Afghanistan, empowering rural women; in Nigeria and Pakistan, fighting for women’s education and rights, and Northern Ireland, promoting peace and equality.
The play has been seen by over 25,000 people in 32 countries and has been translated into 20 languages.
All performers are Scottish women living in West Fife and across the Central Belt. They performed the Scottish premiere of SEVEN to a sold-out audience at the Scottish Parliament in December 2022, and are excited to bring this vital performance to Fife.
This performance has been organised by Making Rights Real, a small grassroots human rights organisation with a big vision: to support marginalised communities to use the power of human rights to mobilise for economic and social change.
After the 7.30 performance, you are invited to join the cast and crew in the Carnegie bar for an informal question and answer session.
