Together, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham have established themselves as the epitome of excellence in the world of traditional music. With their musical magic and quick-witted humour, they will pull your emotional strings one moment and have you falling off the seat with laughter the next!
Join us to hear Phil Cunningham’s astonishing dexterity on accordion, and Aly Bain’s impassioned fiddle playing. It’s little wonder that these two stalwarts of Scottish traditional music have both been recognised with doctorates and MBEs for their services to music. Aly has brought his musical knowledge to the production of several networked television series, bringing traditional music to a constantly widening audience, while Phil remains in great demand as a composer and presenter of programmes for BBC ranging from music to nature documentaries.
They have toured together since 1988 and created six albums as a duo. Through living very international lives dedicated to music, these two have learned how to put on a cracking good show and never disappoint. Don’t miss out!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
