Saturday 15 July, 1-4pm
This is the culmination of a programme of workshops called On The Table. People who’ve participated in On The Table have been busy creating all the ingredients necessary for a shared community feast which will celebrate togetherness and diversity. From ceramic tableware and printed table cloths to growing food and a collective recipe book, all of which we’d like to share with you.
Join us for On The Table Feast & Celebration Day where you can make your own pizza or pasta using ingredients and toppings fresh from the garden. There will be a sculpture and play session suitable for all ages and you can pick up a special printed copy of the collective recipe book.
This is the finale event for Rural Connections, a project being led by artist Ruby Pester and an opportunity to understand how Forgan Arts Centre can better connect with people who live rurally and experience rural isolation.
About Rural Connections:
Rural Connections is led by artist Ruby Pester. Ruby’s research and community consultation is culminating in a series of activities, workshops, and events called On The Table. If you’d like to get involved with On The Table visit our Events page to see upcoming activities.
About the artist:
Ruby Pester is a visual and social artist living and working in Glasgow, Scotland. She has been creating work collaboratively across Scotland and internationally since 2008 and is one half of the collaborative artist duo Pester & Rossi. Her practice derives from visual art and leads to creating live art, sculpture, installation and public interventions in response to people and places. Ruby embraces a collective working approach, hosting public events and workshops, often working with young people to create art that explores and activates collective experiences of play, making and civic celebration.
