About Adult Ceramics Workshop
Run by Jenny Rae: In this workshop, we will be building columns using the slab technique in a free and intuitive way (see image). Once constructed, the vessels will be decorated using various methods, including using coloured slips. The completed columns will then be taken to the studio and, once dry, will be fired to stoneware temperatures of 1260 degrees centigrade, making them frostproof. Bring a cardboard tube approximately 15cm wide by 30cm high, a cotton tea towel (not towelling) and a packed lunch.
