The Fife Agricultural Association invites you to enjoy an unforgettable day out at the Fife Show on Saturday 23rd May 2026 at Kinloss by Cupar!
Expect a vibrant celebration of farming, food, and rural life, showcasing some of the country’s finest livestock, an impressive display of both vintage and modern-day agricultural machinery, fantastic local produce, and a full programme of entertainment for all ages.
Throughout the day, you’ll find showing classes for horses, ponies, cattle and sheep, along with ridden, driven and thrilling showjumping competitions. We’re especially proud to be hosting qualifiers for the Barber Family Ridden Heavy Horse of the Year Championship and the Driven Heavy Horse of the Year Championship—prestigious classes with only four qualifiers of each held annually in Scotland! Winners will head to the Horse of the Year Show finals in October.
In the Showjumping Ring, Royal Highland Show qualifiers return across both Saturday and Sunday (Sunday is Showjumping only!).
You’ll also find numerous other qualifying classes, including Retraining of Racehorses, Equifest 2026, Caledonian Showing Championships, the Veteran Horse Society, and—new for 2026—The Showing Register qualifiers.
In the Main Ring, enjoy a full programme of action: our stunning heavy horse section, high energy stunt performances from Dangerous Steve, and stirring musical interludes from the Cupar & District Pipe Band both in the ring and around the showground. Don’t miss the impressive Grand Parade of Livestock, along with the presentation of RHASS Long Service Medals to those with over 30 years of dedication to the agricultural and rural sector.
Wander over to the Game Fair area to try your hand at the Dog Scurry, watch gundog and birds of prey demonstrations, and meet the Fife Bloodhounds. Bring your own four legged friend to take part in the Pedigree Dog Show in the morning or the fun-filled Novelty Dog Show in the afternoon—entries are taken on the day!
In the Demonstration Area, see farriers crafting and fitting horseshoes, discover how sheep shearing is done, and later cheer on competitors in the Young Farmers Tug O’ War finals.
Explore the busy Second Field with marquees home to the Eggs and Home Produce sections with classes for adults as well as Under 9s and Under 15s. Nearby, the Food & Cookery Theatre, run by Simmer Events Kitchen, will be hosting cooking demonstrations throughout the day. Bring your furry-friend along to join in at the Pet Show - entries taken on the day!
Indulge in some retail therapy in our Craft and Food & Drink marquee and around the showground, where over 150 traders offer everything from tractors and cars to toys, clothing, gifts, jams and jewellery. When you're ready for a break, grab some delicious fresh food and relax in our covered picnic area.
There’s plenty for younger visitors too! The Kids Countryside tent is packed with hands on activities, storytelling sessions, and encounters with animals including snakes, lizards, tarantulas and giant snails courtesy of Zoolab. Close by, meet rare breed animals and test your balance-skills on the Muckmedden Bike Track, and watch the Weavers, Spinners & Dyers and the Stickmakers groups demonstrate their skills throughout the day.
Children can also become Fife Show Explorers by following the Showground Trail—learning about farming, food and agriculture while completing a fun quiz. Many local Primary Schools are also taking part in our annual scarecrow competition organised by the Royal Highland Education Trust Fife.
Although the Fife Show offers something for everyone, at its heart it remains a proud, traditional agricultural show.
