“Are we nearly there yet?”, by Bruce Keith, is a companion volume to his first book “Bridgescapes”, but about Scottish milestones and waymarkers, and to which he brings his distinctive blend of humour.
It’s not just about distance markers, for Bruce also explores the early measurement systems in Scotland, early maps and great journeys throughout the country over the centuries. He even celebrates the achievements of the top 50 Scots as the “fastest” and “farthest” in terms of speed and endurance – those who’ve gone the extra mile.
So something for everyone!”
