The seaside festival basked in Scottish spring sunshine, as fans of all ages headed to the beach to enjoy sets from James, Annie Mac, Happy Mondays, Starsailor, StreetRAVE and co-founder of the festival, global DJ Ewan McVicar.
Sunday night was brought to an epic close with over four decades worth of hits from Mancunian legends Happy Mondays, fronted by Shaun Ryder and Mark ‘Bez’ Berry. Pioneers of the new dance rock movement in the 80s, the Happy Mondays brought huge hits like ‘Step On’, ‘Hallelujah’, ‘Loose Fit’ to Low Green, with picturesque views out across the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig.
In the setting sun on Sunday evening, STREETrave Classical celebrated over 30 years of dance music culture with an awe-inspiring 35 piece symphonic orchestra and choir performing STREETrave anthems and living up to their promise of delivering the most iconic parties in Scotland.
Following a dance-fuelled Saturday filled with sets from Ewan McVicar, Annie Mac and more, Sunday’s laidback vibes kicked off with the likes of Jon Mancini, Shades of Rhythm and A Guy Called Gerald. Festival fans partied in a brand new Big Top style tent, the Electric Brae, before taking trips throughout the festival’s secret bars and food and drink pop-ups.
Ewan McVicar, the Ayrshire-born DJ and international producer co-founded the festival alongside STREETrave’s Ricky Magowan with the aim of bringing worldwide acts to Low Green alongside grassroots talent and boosting the local town’s economy with over 16,000 music fans flocking to the beach.
Ewan McVicar said: “Ayr, you showed up in a big way for Year Three of Pavilion Festival. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with the event, giving my hometown something special to get behind. From the bottom of my heart, yesterday was one of the best events I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to bring the event bigger for 2026 - we’ve dropped early bird tickets due to demand. See you next year, troops!”
