Following the re-opening of our facilities across Fife junior programmes including swimming, gymnastics, trampolining, football and more are now being delivered.
The move comes following our well-attended October camps for kids held during the recent school holidays and the relaunch of our swimming lessons.
We have 13 of our sites across the region open with the highest level of COVID health and safety measures and social distancing measures in place in line with Scottish Government, NHS Scotland and industry guidelines.
Sharon Johnstone, operations manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “It was great to see so many youngsters enjoying the October sports camps and staff are very keen to get back to delivering our junior programme so that youngsters can access the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity.
“We recently resumed our Learn to Swim programme and we have been delivering our adult group fitness sessions, gyms and public swimming since Scottish Government restrictions eased – we are confident in our health and safety procedures and it’s fantastic that youngsters can now get involved in some of the programmes they previously enjoyed.”
We continue to receive a positive reaction from customers following the re-opening of centres, with customer surveys showing that 99 per cent of those who have visited facilities are satisfied that on arrival there are adequate social distancing and health and safety measures in place, 97 per cent are happy with the protocols for their chosen activity and 100 per cent report that staff are helpful and well-informed about the new Covid measures.
