Presenting :
Matthew Hall
Matthew Hall has seen a remarkable ascent since emerging earlier last year, amassing millions of streams, appearances on Spotify's New Music Friday around the world and amassing a barrage of radio and press with his reflective, immersive sound steeped in reality. Last year he released his debut EP 'The Inconvenient EP', which is the product of his hard work paying off, is a statement of intent that cements his place as one of Scotland's fastest rising stars. Featuring the stunning singles 'Only October', 'Inconvenient' and 'Oslo', the EP is the perfect introduction into Hall's sound, opening up the path for the future seamlessly.
Hailing from Glasgow, the 21 year old singer-songwriter studied music at Edinburgh Napier University. During this time Hall started posting guitar covers on TikTok and quickly started gaining traction for his unique and forward thinking take on popular songs. Solidifying an international fanbase and catapulting his voice to fame was a cover of ‘Home’ by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Matthew’s version of the track has now had over 40 million streams across Spotify, TikTok and YouTube after going viral.
Now with university on hold and a burgeoning career as an artist underway, Matthew has spent the last 2 years since the release of ‘Home’, honing his craft and working with notable producer and writer Jonah Summerfield (Tom Grennan, Matilda Mann), as well as Rich Cooper (Billie Marten, Cloves) and James Earp (Lewis Capaldi, Maisie Peters) to hone his original sound and music.
Terra Kin
Terra Kin, “child of the earth”, hailing from Glasgow defines themself as a “weird little creature”. A love for jazz, ambient and folk music paired with a soft soulful voice collides into something she finds hard to genre bind. Terra considers everything to be fluid and aims to convey that both visually and sonically. Thier debut EP ‘Too Far Gone’ was released on Island Records in late 2022 to significant acclaim. Enough indeed that she was crowned BBC Introducing 2023 Scottish Act Of The Year silencing the room at the awards ceremony with a rendition of ‘Flames’ from their EP and a beguiling cover of ‘It Must Be Love’.
After a chance encounter on Instagram, Terra Kin featured as vocalist on the Fred Again track ‘Hannah (the sun)’ joining him on stage several times at his spectacular live shows to perform the song. Their intimate and immersive live show has not only sown the seeds of a devoted fan base, but has seen them invited to support Rachel Chinouriri, Kokoroko, Pip Millet and Charlie Burg among others and play festivals including The Great Escape, TRNSMT, Connect, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend and Boardmasters.
Tamzene
Tamzene is an artist and songwriter hailing from the coastal town of Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. Inspired by everything from the beauty of the rugged landscape to the local cèilidh bands and the powerhouse vocals of her mum's favorite artists (Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner), Tamzene always knew she wanted to be a musician. Since cutting her teeth busking on Inverness highstreet and studying songwriting at Leeds conservatoire, Tamzene has spent the past 3 years expanding her catalog and live profile as an artist and is currently releasing her largest body of work to date with Indie label Young Poet, the 'In Any Weather' EP, to be released in August 2024.
