The East Neuk Festival 2020 has been cancelled in the light of official advice regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

A statement from Donald MacDonald (Chair of East Neuk Festival) and Svend McEwan-Brown (Artistic Director and CEO):
We are very sad to announce that East Neuk Festival 2020 is cancelled. Any ENF is the work of many years and many hands, so we understand that this cancellation will come as an enormous disappointment to many artists, patrons, supporters and partners; but it is with their welfare in mind that we have reluctantly taken this decision in the light of official advice regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the seriousness of the developing crisis.
ENF owes so much to the musicians and expert team who make it happen every year. We are keenly aware that most of them are freelance, and that ENF is just one of many events being cancelled during this crisis, so they will be directly affected financially by this cancellation. We aim to ensure that nobody suffers as a result of the cancellation, but ENF cannot do this on its own. We will be offering all ticket holders a full refund, but ask that our audience might consider converting their ticket expenditure into a donation which we will use to honour contracts to artists and contractors and support those who help to make the festival what it is. All ticket holders will be contacted directly with this appeal.
At this difficult time we offer two pieces of good news.
The ENF Retreat programme will not be cancelled, but we will reschedule it to later in the year so ENF's work to benefit young artists can continue uninterrupted.
Additionally, a small number of projects from 2020 will be postponed to the 2021 Festival which is already well advanced in its planning. We will share news of what promises to be a bumper ENF2021 in due course and look forward to being in touch with you to share more heartening news.
