About This Exhibition
Unearthed – step back in time to where it all began in our latest family-friendly exhibition.
Find out how Scotland was formed, which creatures roamed the land and discover the treasures left by people in Fife over thousands of years.
Unearthed features a host of rare and exciting objects, from precious stones and fossil fish to beautifully crafted Bronze Age beaker pots and Viking jewellery. Dig deeper and you will discover some amazing facts – did you know that the land we now call Scotland first formed near the South Pole?
There is plenty to see and do:
•Get creative with the dinosaur magnetic mix up
•Transform yourself into a burrowing bunny or fantastic fox
•Try your hand at fossil hunting and find buried treasures in the dig pit
•Lose yourself in a good book in the underground tree burrow
•Watch Mary Anning – Fossil Lady, a short film about the famous palaeontologist Mary Anning and her fabulous fossil finds, created and performed by Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre. Scroll down to see a trailer for the show.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
