Early in 2025, it was announced that Bruce would be retiring. However, as his 70th birthday approached, it became obvious that he was just not ready to retire yet – and his audiences weren’t either! That’s good news for Leslie Town Hall, as we can welcome him back for another concert.
If you know him, you won’t be surprised to see reviews like this: -
“...great work…” – Kenny Rogers
“...a voice in a million…” – BBC Celtic Roots
“... writes and sings about the better side of life, a pleasant alternative to many of his contemporaries.” – Sing Out Magazine
"...sincerity and a professional approach which puts to shame some of his more commercially successful contemporaries." – Fife Free Press
“...fine singing, memorable songs and personable banter ...accessible, but unique...like an audio hug!” – Half Moon Bay Review, CA, U.S.A.
“...sparkling performance...” – Wiltshire Times
If you’ve never seen him, but enjoy great acoustic music and interesting stories performed by “one of the best singers in Scotland”
(Tom Paxton) with “crisp acoustic guitar playing that perfectly complements his wonderful voice” (Edinburgh Evening News), take a
chance and book tickets now, you won’t be disappointed.
In 2015, he became the host the Spirit of Scotland Show, entertaining visitors from all over the world in Edinburgh's premiere dinner show. In
the winters, he performs throughout the UK and sometimes overseas, featuring the songs of writers he admires, his own compositions and, of
course, the songs of Scotland.
Of his many career highlights, he particularly treasures the memories of performing at the United Nations, New York; the legendary Nashville
venue, the Bluebird Café; and, in 2023, singing at Crathie Kirk in the presence of the King and Queen.
Hear songs from his current repertoire as well many favourites from his long and varied career.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
