Jamie Ramsay is a Scottish born endurance adventurer who has completed over 54,000 km of human-powered expeditions: trail running, bikepacking, fast-packing, mountaineering, ski touring and even trekking with camels. Hear about his most iconic journey: a solo, unsupported run spanning 17,000 kilometres from Vancouver to Buenos Aires. Carrying all his essentials in a baby stroller Jamie visited 14 countries, collecting unforgettable experiences along the way. His approach to adventure is rooted in personal challenge and cultural connection rather than chasing records or firsts. Jamie will reflect on the extraordinary moments and insights gained throughout this transformative expedition, now captured in his recently published memoir Running the Americas.
*Please note that this talk will take place at the new Carnegie Conference Centre, which is at a different address from last year’s venue, despite sharing the same name.*
