Established in 2012 with a mission to bring premium spirits distillation back to Glasgow, Glasgow Distillery is a tight-knit team creating a family of story and character-rich brands, pouring their heart and soul into every spirit.
The original Glasgow Distillery Company was founded in 1770, hence the name of the current distillery’s main line of single malts. It subsequently operated under a number of different names, and produced unpeated, peated, and triple distilled single malt until its eventual closure in 1902. 110 years later, founders Liam Hughes and Mike Hayward brought distilling back to the site and the story continues.
At Glasgow Distillery, they split their whisky production year into three distinct periods which creates three different styles of new make spirit, resulting in three unique flavour profiles. These profiles are the foundation upon which they release their range of single malt whiskies, giving them a wide spectrum of flavours to choose from for their whisky portfolio each year.
