Introduction to Orienteering (Ages 8-14)

Kingdom of Fife Orienteers are offering another Beginner's series of activities in September to introduce young people aged 8-14 to orienteering in Pittencrieff Park.

Introduction to Orienteering (Ages 8-14)

About Introduction to Orienteering (Ages 8-14)

Three introductory sessions into orienteering for juniors at Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline on 3rd, 10th and 17th September.

Price is £15 for the block of three sessions.

These activities are suited to young people aged 8-14 who like the outdoors, a bit of a challenge and who perhaps have a competitive edge. The sessions will teach the fundamentals of orienteering, map reading, route choice and decision making, and equip participants with the skills to independently navigate around a basic orienteering course. At the end of the sessions there will be an event on 24th Sept suitable for families where the skills learned can be put into practice (additional small charge).
