A year ago a pandemic hit the global community. The world changed. You and I and everybody else had to drastically change the way we interact and behave. Has it been a tough year for you? For many people the enhanced isolation and constant uncertainty has caused a lot of distress, anxiety and depression. And there is no end in sight soon.
If you feel that you have been badly affected by the pandemic and lockdown and you are looking for ways to improve your mood, your outlook, your sense of resilience and wellbeing - think MINDFULNESS! Research has shown that Mindfulness can reduce anxiety dramatically, lifts your mood and helps you to reduce the levels of negative rumination and worrying thoughts.
How does it work? Mindfulness is a way being and powerful tool to retrain your brain. So, why should you come and join a course instead of using an app or reading a book? Mindfulness done right is an embodied experience. Reading a book about it might leave you still not really knowing what you are supposed to do. I have heard many people telling me that only when they joined me did they finally get what being mindful means. There are many apps on the market. If you have never been taught by a person how to be mindful, they too might not be that useful to you. Here are the benefits of learning mindfulness from an experienced mindfulness teacher:
- I will role model being mindful for you
- you can ask me as many questions as you like and get feedback on your practise
- you are with others who also explore what mindfulness means to them (that's always a rich source of learning)
- you will get a lot more than just guided meditations. We will look at the potential problems arising, the brain science of mindfulness and how to best support yourself.
If you want to lift your mood, feel calmer, be more resilient and enjoy your life more, this is for you.
