Free family fun at the Fresh Air Festival!
Dunfermline’s Fresh Air Festival– a free event for the whole family that celebrates all the fun to be had outdoors in our lovely local park. The festival starts at 12noon on Saturday 5th June 2021 in the Public Park in Dunfermline (beside the train station), and we will be delighted to welcome along as many visitors as possible.
This year we will again have the hugely popular grass sledges – a close second to the real thing.
Free stories are available whilst you wait your turn on the horses and ponies – get a family member to keep your place. Fife Historic Vehicles will show off their amazing collection of vintage cars, motor bikes, with buses and fire-engines nearby to explore.
Around the park you will find a number of sports activities you can join in for free – Tennis, Rugby, football, American Football, Basketball, and cycling to name but a few.
At a more chilled pace you can enjoy, birds of prey, magic, tai chi, yoga, chainsaw sculpting, and face painting. Or you can simply relax on a picnic rug with an ice cream or barbeque and take in the live sounds from the bandstand which will include traditionnal wind and pipe bands as well the best of the town’s indy music scene. Skateboard Scotland run the competition in the skate-park for skaters, scooters and boarders – just turn up and join in.
Location: Dunfermline Public Park, 28 Viewfield Terrace, Dunfermline KY12 7QL
