In partnership with the University of Glasgow, edify invites you to a sneak preview of an immersive virtual learning experience about Robert Burns! Using edify, Dr Pauline Mackay will deliver a live and interactive lecture - ‘Burns Beyond Reality’ - from her home, directly to yours.
21st Century technology from edify will transport Dr Mackay and her audience back to 18th Century Ayrshire, where she will explore some of the material culture behind Burns’ supernatural epic ‘Tam O’Shanter’ - all from a setting we could only imagine... until now!
This FREE event is open to academics, students, and everyone with an interest in Scotland’s National Bard. Places to the interactive session are limited, so register your interest now. A link to the event will be sent to you on the day.
Everyone who signs up, will also receive a recording of the session post event.
Discover how to enjoy an immersive learning experience from the comfort of your own home, and in the company of one the world’s leading Robert Burns experts.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Burns Beyond Reality are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
