John Murray /Iain Moireach was born in West Africa, brought up in Fife and London.
Author of 'Reading the Gaelic Landscape' published in 2014, 2nd edition in 2019 and 'Literature of the Gaelic Landscape' in 2017. His books aim to understand the cultural landscape of the Highlands by studying its Gaelic place-names. Honorary Fellow in the School of Languages and Literature, Edinburgh University.
