The museum will be closed to other members of the public, so this day will be relaxed and flexible. There will be four 45-minute booking slots between 10am-2pm. You can arrive any time within that 45 minutes.
There will be some Covid-19 safe Robot-themed activities to help children engage with the museum displays, and time to explore the museum independently.
There are 2 household tickets per booking slot. You will be asked to specify how many people you intend on bringing (please book a ticket for your family unit only).
Once you have reserved a slot, we will send you a copy of our visual story so you can familiarise with what to expect at the museum.
All our staff have received autism awareness training.
We have made some changes we have made to museum, but don't worry we are still a welcoming friendly space and these autism friendly visitor slots will be safe but more flexible:
* Accessible toilet will be open and cleaned regularly.
* We are implementing more regular cleaning of activities.
* We are adhering to Scottish Government Test & Protect Scheme.
* For more pre-visit information, see our FAQs: www.carnegiebirthplace.com/faqs
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Autism Friendly Visitor Slots are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
