70 percent +

About 70 percent +

Over 70% of our planet’s surface is water. Vast areas of deep sea waters are still mare incognita – unknown seas. In 70%+ two artists explore its depths. Kyra Clegg envisions seas and coastlines – their structures and inhabitants – from fossils to concrete ruins from World War Two, in an installation which uses video, poetry and mixed media assemblages to catch the murmur of ‘Other Voices’.

In ‘Beyond the Surface’ Marysia Lachowicz visualises the physicality of the sea and its power. Abstract and unpredictable images created directly in the sea, using an alternative photographic technique, sit alongside photographs documenting decaying coastal structures. With support from Northlink Ferries.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for 70 percent + are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
