About Lunchtime Concert: Bill Taylor

Ancient Harp Music from Ireland, Scotland and Wales

Bill Taylor performs historical harp music from across the British Isles using a variety of harps – a medieval gut-strung harp, a wire-strung Highland clarsach and a Renaissance harp with buzzing bray pins. The programme will include intabulations of sacred chants, compositions by Scottish and Irish clarsairs, and pieces from the Robert ap Huw manuscript, containing the earliest harp music from anywhere in Europe.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Lunchtime Concert: Bill Taylor are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
